Adcubum Syrius

Integration of adcubum SYRIUS

The architecture of adcubum SYRIUS was optimised with regard to easy integration of the system into existing IT environments.

Freatures and benefits

The modules of adcubum SYRIUS use so called facades ("breaking points") to communicate with each other. These facades permit an easy replacement of adcubum SYRIUS modules through external systems. Thus external partner and collection and disbursement modules for example, can be easily integrated. Adcubum also ensures compatibility of such interfaces with future releases.

Standard interfaces allow an addition to the system with functions that are typically implemented via group-wide systems within the insurance and not offered directly by adcubum SYRIUS (e.g. printing or document archive).

Due to its service-oriented architecture, the entire technical capabilities of adcubum SYRIUS are open to foreign systems. This allows the integration of in-house developed software, for example, such as that used for automated data exchange with external partners.

When integrating surrounding systems, a distinction has to be made between complementary and substituting peripheral systems:

Complementary peripheral systems complement the entire system’s capabilities with functions for which no corresponding module adcubum SYRIUS is available.

Substituting peripheral systems replace existing adcubum SYRIUS modules through appropriate external systems.

Additional information: application programming interfaces

In addition to the standard interfaces and facades, adcubum SYRIUS provides programming interfaces. These cover the complete technical functionality of the system and are available through the application server in the form of services (accessible via web services and Enterprise Java Beans).

By means of the registration of interceptors and JMS (Java Message Service) third-party systems can inform themselves on events occurring in adcubum SYRIUS. This, for example, allows a comprehensive integration in workflow solutions.
