We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to join our team and lead our efforts in bringing our core insurance product Adcubum Syrius to the Cloud.
The Cloud Architect will be crucial to designing and implementing cloud architecture solutions that enhance the scalability, reliability, and performance of our core Java product. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, DevOps specialists, and product managers, to ensure the successful transition to a cloud-native environment.
Deine Aufgaben
- develop and execute a comprehensive cloud strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and enables the product to become more cloud-native.
- design cloud-native architectures, selecting appropriate cloud services and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to improve our product's scalability, availability, and performance.
- assist development teams in adopting cloud-native best practices, and provide guidance on containerization, serverless, and microservices architecture.
- ensure that security and compliance standards are met by designing and implementing secure cloud solutions and best practices.
- continuously monitor and optimize the cloud infrastructure to improve the product's efficiency, performance, and cost.
- promote the use of automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices to streamline deployment and operations.
- mentor and educate teams on cloud-native concepts and technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- shape the overall architecture of Adcubum Syrius in a team with other architecture specialists.
- be partner, coach and consultant of product owners, technical and business-oriented development teams, and our colleagues from technical consulting - from first planning until delivery and execution.
- keep up to date with ongoing developments and innovations with regards to cloud and container technologies.
Unsere Anforderungen
- proven experience as a Software Architect, Cloud Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar role
- strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- in-depth knowledge of Java and Java-based technologies (Java EE / Jakarta EE, Spring Boot)
- proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- experience with microservices, serverless, and cloud-native design patterns
- ability to navigate different abstraction layers
- strong analytic, communicative, and organizational skills
- communicative and customer-minded personality with a high degree of responsibility
- excellent English skills (written & spoken)
This is a plus
- experience or background in Software Architecture methodologies (iSAQB-F or similar)
- ability to communicate in German
